(i do miss... the sun)

bonne Année!

Why do you call your blog 'the raw and the cooked'? (I get the reference, but why?)

Also, is there a reason you limit comments to people with a blogger account?

i will look into opening comments up to all...if you know the quick answer on how to do it, let me know.

merci bien

blume, I like the example Levi-Strauss chose, "the raw and the cooked," because it applies quite well to my writing up experiences and thoughts here -- both raw and cooked, or "recollected in tranquillity."

There are more specific reasons why my interests here are related to the argument Claude Levi-Strauss is making, that "primitive peoples" think through myths and mythemes, and I almost posted it here, but that is a bit too closely related to my dissertation topic so, sorry, I will save that for myself for now.

But it's a good book - I recommend it to all and sundry!
